So, putting aside the fact that Setsuna poops rainbow sparkles of love, some other stuff:

REGENE PWNS EVERYONE; THAT WAS SO WIN.

I was going to be all 'aw, Billy, you fail at politics', but then I realised most of the characters in this are making important decisions that influence the future of mankind because of who they want to lay. Oh, humanity. You never change.

Louise's mech is really cool. Too bad it didn't live long.

Also, SETSUNA POOPS RAINBOW SPARKLES OF LOVE. THEY BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER. IN SPARKLY RAINBOW LOVE. (Thus, I suppose, getting rid of the whole I'd-hit-that political motivation problem. But mainly they are just sparkly.)

IN OTHER NEWS. We didn't end up seeing Watchmen after all, yesterday, because intelligent students at a prestigious university that we are, we both LOCKED OUR KEYS INSIDE THE HOUSE. So we had to wait for someone from the estate agency to come and let us in. (It's also a good thing that there's a To-Let sign by our door with their number on it, because since I'm the designated organised person who talks to people when it comes to house stuff, only I had the number on my phone, and that's dead.)

We did go to Newcastle and have milkshakes, though, so not all was lost. And I bough volume 3 of Mail, even though I was really really resolved not to spend any money. It was only one thing! And Mail is win.

They also had a stack of these brochures lying around at Travelling Man (comics & games store), so I picked one up. It's not like Watchmen was my introduction to graphic novels - I've been reading webcomics since shortly after I discovered the iternet, after all - but although I wanted to read more of them I've never been able to find a way in, if you know what I mean. So I thought I might as well take advantage of this. It has Y: the Last Man in it, which I always thought sounded kind of dumb, but I read a free sample chapter online a while ago, and it made me really really want to know what happens next, so that's first on my to-buy list when I get money/a job.

Oh yes, and the ANE professor emailed me saying he's passed the Extension Request on to the relevant official people, so I'd better get on with writing that essay now that I've unwound and relaxed a little. Shall head over to library later.

Drew a badly-laid-out comic thing on TegakiE about a character that came from a doodle, who I named Interrobang for lack of any better ideas.

I am too tired for non-inane sentences to-day. >_> I mean, I was going for a vaguely storybook feel, or something, but it just sounds inane, doesn't it? That last panel is just a bit terrible, as well, but I'm also too tired to go back over it. BLAH BLAH BLAH COMPLAIN. I do actually think this is pretty neat, otherwise I wouldn't be showing it off.

TegakiE still makes my life.

Anyway! So. Handed in one of my essays and my Illustration portfolio. Will hopefully get extension on my other essay, which I just didn't have the time to finish. It all depends on whether the professor for that module checks his email and/or pigeon hole any time soon and feels like being magnanimous.

Though if he doesn't I should be able to re-take it if I have to. It's only half a module out of six, but I'd like to avoid it bringing down my grade if I can. Because that would be epic fail. I'm meant to be good at this school stuff.

In other news, my phone is still dead and I'm going to finally see Watchmen tomorrow.

Ooh, also! I have been playing Chrono Trigger on the DS! It is pretty good so far! Happy RPG funtiems!

My twitter updates to-day, an excerpt:

1:21:45pm - I really just do not want to write this essay. #
 4:56:30pm - I want this essay to die. #
11:29:37pm - i want this essay to die in a fire. #

I am still in no way convinced Gerasa is as big a deal as my professor and the ONE BOOK I have been able to find on it claim it is. If it was, there would be more than FOUR useful articles that mention it written after 1930. Excluding, obviously, the ones on the suggested reading list, because THOSE ARE IN JOURNALS DURHAM UNIVERSITY LIBRARY DOES NOT SUBSCRIBE TO. *seethe*

If you will excuse me, I am going to bed now.

I could make a pot of tea, I suppose, but it's been a while since that pot was used and I'm unsure as to whether anyone emptied it and took out the old teabags so I'm leaving it until I'm in the mood for facing potential disease hazards. My preferred solution, really, would be a robot butler of some kind.

There was some arsehole in a 70s car outside earlier revving his engine and now it smells like a petrol station in here. If my robot butler was here it would've pwned that car.

I was gonna post an entry yesterday, but then the router had a fit and I went to bed instead.

So, pretty much everyone I know has been struck by some sort of deadly school ennui this winter. I think it's something in the water. It is full of fail. I am also full of fail. Here is yesterday's entry:

I don't want to write essays anymore. I want to be done with essays. I want to be done with essays and instead write that depressing story about the girl who becomes a spy because she's bored and gets caught and sentenced to death that I started back in the summer, or maybe the one about the alien and the mutated human and the robot with a human brain in it but that might be a comic instead, and I want to draw comics about the other people in my head and also Conan the Barbarian throwing a missile at a spaceship. And I want to watch anime and Battlestar Galactica. And play Fallout 3 and Phoenix Wright games and that funky-looking Mirror's Edge dlc that's coming out sometime soonish.

But I don't even do those things when I'm not writing essays, when I'm not writing essays I'm staring at the screen despairing at my lack of energy for writing essays.

I mean, obviously they need to be one and I will do them and get them finished on time, but good god I CANNOT WAIT until they are done. Maybe somewhere inbetween them and dissertation work I'll get my act together enough to do some FUN things.

I am so taking a year out between BA and MA. To save my SANITY.

I am rocking the essayness a bit more to-day, so wewt. When I've finished this case-study, I think I'll watch the first ep of Gurren Lagann or something. I also have a cool Archaeoblogogy entry to write about everyone's (where everyone = me) favourite topics: Archaeology, Politics, and The Middle East, so that's gonna be pretty damn sexy.

I want some more tea.
